Seminar 2004

SEMINAR 2004 was a wonderful, stimulating event this year, and we are all still basking in the afterglow of an event packed with exciting programs, skilled teachers, inspiring Kaleidoscope designs, tempting sales booths........and the chance to visit with old friends and to make new ones. It was over all too soon, and already we await with anticipation next year's Seminar. The Workshop was a terrific chance for enthusiastic designers to study under this year's Workshop Instructor, Jim Johnson, and reports are that the day was an unqualified success !!

The development and growth of our Kaleidoscope designers is evidenced in the fact that we had quite a number of "first-time" designers this year. Our overall attendance was up this year, and many who attended were there for the first time. We encourage all members of CFAA to invite new members to join our wonderful organization, and to plan to attend the Seminar next year. The dates are now finalized, and are publicized on our Web Site. We are always delighted to answer e-mails from those enquiring about CFAA, and would further suggest that our members direct floral designer friends to the web site for more information and to see photos from the Seminar.

Design Dimensions will have a terrific article by Char Mutschler in the next issue on "Collages" - complete with neat photos of examples. We regret that our dedicated President, Glenn Haugh, has resigned for personal reasons, and to pursue interests--of which he has many! Our 1st Vice-President, Addie Lou Harris, has assumed the position, and will be working hard, as ever, on our behalf. Watch for the upcoming issue of the newsletter. Your Design Dimensions staff looks forward to hearing your feedback as we continue to work to bring you a web site and a magazine that meet, and exceed, your expectations.
